Having pastored, taught in Christian College and written 66 college courses, his ministry is rich in revelation and Biblical principles. His unique teaching style applies principles to every day problems with insight into the human nature and condition.

As a ministry for almost 50 years he has counseled many individuals and leaders. Out of this experience came his counseling courses as he sought the Lord for answers to those questions that psychiatrist and psychologist are unable to answer.

His interest in current events and intense study of the Word has produced an understanding of principles of the end time. Often during teaching the Word applications are given that help listeners better understand the maze of end time teaching. There are times when an anointing of revelation comes during the ministry of the Word and he teaches from that spirit of revelation.

His current responsibilities include several advisory boards as well as positions on ministry councils. He has traveled to a number of countries where he taught in Bible Schools and churches advising leaders. His experience with all levels of Christian Education gives him an overview of the current education needs in the Church and prepared him for the unique call and ministry of the Institute for Strategic Christian Leadership.

Dr. Hurst earned a Doctor of Theology from Canada Christian College adding to it a PhD in Christian Education from Shalom Bible College and Seminary in Des Moines, Iowa. He was further honored by his peers with a DD from Canadian Seminary, and a Doctor of Pastoral Counseling from Canadian Christian Association of Clinical Counselors. Several years ago he was invited to the advisory Board of the Evangelical Order of Christian Counselors of America with whom he holds a Diplomat of Christian Pastoral Counseling.

Dr. Hurst has 5 children, 18 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. He lives with his wife Eleanore in Rock Hill, SC.
